Lost { Christian Mom Blog }

I am lost in blog land!! I can't believe how long it's been since I posted! So to recap.....

First of all I DID make my goal of being under 130 before August 1st, although since our scale died I'm not sure if I'm still under!!! I started having some small issues with my milk supply and after seeing 128.4 on the scale I decided to stop "trying" to lose for a little while and just try to maintain and continue working out. Making milk for my twinkies is #1 to me and my body seems to struggle if I get the least bit off track! Here is an "after" that Noah took for me, remember he's only 4 :)

OK, so that's not the greatest picture, but I am SUPER excited that we just scheduled our family pictures with the amazing Rebekah at Southern Charm Portraits. I think she is just one of the BEST photographers anywhere! So excited!! Stay tuned this fall because I will definitely share them! Also, if you are in Knoxville and want family photos done this fall send her a message now because she's almost booked!! Here are our sweet babies, these were taken at 2 months :)

Because of my milk supply being low and the babies not taking bottles (well Josiah will, but Ellie will not) we decided to go ahead and add cereal to their mornings mixed with formula (when I pump after nursing I get NOTHING). Josiah loved it and Ellie hated it. I got some apple rice cereal and Ellie loved that! It's been several days now so now I am mixing a container of stage 1 fruit with some formula and rice cereal for their breakfast and lunch. (for them to share). Josiah eats way more than Ellie!

600 { Calories Burned }

This morning the babies went to sleep and I decided I was going to do my run and if they woke up I would just finish it later. Normally I don't even attempt to run in the mornings when Matt is not awake because I hate my runs getting knees were bothering me a tiny bit so I figured if my run got cut short I could finish it later and it might be easier on my knees anyway. I got my whole run in (4 miles/38 minutes) and then did the rest on the elliptical with some push ups, bicep curls, shoulder press, and crunches at the end. I burned 600 calories in 65 minutes (yes I went the extra 5 minutes just two see the 600!!).

It's really nice Matt waking up and not having to get in my workout! Now if only the babies would nap this long every day! Josiah usually does, but Ellie is another story! She was up about 10 minutes before I finished, but played happily on the floor with her big brother!

Tomorrow is cake baking day!!! Noah's 4th bday party is Saturday and I am making his cake tomorrow so I can freeze it to cut it into the mini cake shapes on Saturday before his party. All the supplies are ready!!

Now I have to say that I really do enjoy baking. The boys and I make little treats a lot...and they love helping me....these cakes are a little more in depth than what I would normally do so fingers crossed they turn out OK!! Hopefully mine look something like this when I'm done.....

4.5 Months { Mom Blog }

Tuesday I got two great workouts in. I woke up with some extra energy since the babies slept good and did a 42 minute circuit and then a 43 minute run! I burned 793 calories (total)!! Had an OK eating day on Tuesday. For some reason I am just having trouble giving food 100%. I am still staying within my calories, but my choices haven't been the best and I'm worried it's going to show this week! I thought I would be extra motivated this week since my goal is getting so close, but instead I'm kind of feeling discouraged and burned out. I had decided to start letting myself have a few things here and there that I wanted in hopes if I had one meal a week to look forward to my easier choices during the week would be easier, but that seems to make things worse. I think I do better 100% or nothing. This weekend is Noah's 4th birthday and I plan to enjoy his party, but I think other than that I am going to try to get back to 100% eating good. I seem to be an all or nothing kind of person! My schedule here isn't what I'd like either I think I had just gotten on a routine in MO that was working for me and since we moved our schedule has been turned upside down and I'm still trying to figure out something that works here. I keep telling myself I'm so close and I need to give it 100%, I'd rather give it 100% for another month and be DONE and just be maintaining then give it 50-75% and it take another 2 months!!!

One from Tuesday, I am happy with my progress, I guess. I know there is improvement, but somedays I just don't *see* it. I'm really hoping my belly skin continues to improve. I am just 4.5 months postpartum so I am hoping my stretch marks fade and my lose skin tightens back up some!! The worst part of my lose skin is just under where my clothes fall so at least it doesn't show!!

Now to show off my sweet Ellie. I brought my studio light and soft box in and set it up. I think I am going to leave it set up on the other side of the workout room because its such a pain to set it up and take it back down that I haven't taken as many pictures of the babies as I wish I had! It's just really tiring to do them both so I think I will just leave it set up so if one of the babies is in a really good mood I can take a few! Josiah always naps much longer than Ellie, so while he was sleeping Ellie and I had a quick photoshoot. Of course she wouldn't smile for me.....this last little smirk was thanks to her big brother Noah.

Catch up! { Busy Runner Mom }

I haven't blogged since Thursday!! Now to try to think back on what has happened since then :)

Friday for my work out I did an hour on the elliptical and burned 549 calories. Had a great day eating wise too!!

Saturday I decided to do my own little made up circuit which consisted of 10 minutes on the elliptical, a one mile run @7mph, some push-ups, jump squats, jumping jacks, burpees, crunches, and jumping lunges, and back to the elliptical and repeat! I managed to burn 701 calories in 73 minutes! Of course I really wanted to see that 700+ calorie mark so I kept going for a few extra minutes! Saturday I was under my calories, but we did eat out twice so I'm sure my sodium intake was SUPER high.

Sunday morning I got up and was ready to do my run earlier than usual, the 7 mile mark has been mentally challenging for me! I'm not sure what it is about 7 miles, but it seemed like such long distance and I kept telling myself I couldn't do it....well I did do it!!! In 73 minutes I burned 717 calories! I was so proud of myself when I finished! I think I will repeat that week of training this week which is 4.5m/4m/7m  because I think the squats and lunges I did the day before caused some knee soreness! I am going to look up some videos and make sure I am doing them right.....I'm sure it's a form problem!!

Saturday night we went out to do some photos of my baby boy Noah!! He is turning 4 on the 30th and I just can't believe it!

So, Sunday was my big day, WEIGH DAY!! LOL My goal of being 129.9 by August 1st is approaching and I was nervous about my weight, I can't say I was THRILLED but I was 131.2 which was a 1.2lb loss for the week. I think I should be happy with that considering my weight is getting lower and I know it is going to get harder and harder to lose! I just want to keep the motivation and remember after my 9 weeks of hard, hard work my goal is *so* close!! I am going to kill it this week!!!! 

On the sleep front....I don't want to jinx it, but Josiah slept 10-3:30 the night before last and 10-7 last night!!!!! Praise Jesus!!!! Ellie was only up 3-4x last night, which may sound like a lot, but it is a big improvement for her!! Once I am sure Josiah is on the sleeping through the night routine I am going to start working on getting her to skip at least one feeding. I will feel like a new woman when they are both sleeping through the night!!

Working Harder { Fitness Blog }

During my workout today I noticed (well, I've been noticing) that it is getting harder and harder to get my heart rate up. I am so happy I can see such a big difference in my stamina and fitness level, but man those calories are getting harder and harder to burn! I remember a few weeks ago after the twins were born I was running 4 miles in 48 minutes (5mph) and thought I would never get over that hump, now I can run 4 miles in 38 minutes or so and my heart rate is still way lower than it used to be. Today I was trying to add in some speed work to get my heart rate up where I wanted it to be! After 35 minutes on the elliptical and a 4 mile run I managed to burn 728 calories. I am so happy I wear a HRM because it definitely pushes me.....I get a high when I see it change over into the 700's.....not sure why LOL

Then today when I finished up my food diary I saw this:

WOOT!!! Nothing like seeing that weight go BELOW your goal weight! YAY for my hard work paying off!!!

One a side note, my baby boy is turning 4 in only 11 days :( I can't believe it! I just ordered a lens and I am planning to take him out this weekend to do some real 4 year pictures.....I need some good shots of him....he is getting so big and handsome!! I miss my baby Noah! Just look at this handsome little guy:

4 Months { Twin Blog }

I can't believe the twins are 4 months, really 4.5 months, these were taken on the 6th!! Wow, time flies!

I can't wait for cooler weather because I am going to enjoy having two cute models to take photos of outside! Right now it's just been so hot and since the babies can't hold their heads up well on their tummy there really isn't too much I can do with them! I have some cute outfit ideas for when they are sitting up too! Also planning a family photo for this fall! Hoping to have all my weight gone by then and I looooove TN in the missed that last year in MO!

Almost Better { Stain Remover }

I think the kids are almost better.....I thought they were yesterday, but then last night they were up all night coughing! I hope tonight is better, so far so good. I hate when they don't feel good and trying to get sleep with 4 kids sicks is impossible.....especially when two of those are babies that want to nurse all night!

I didn't get a workout yesterday so I was determined to do it today....and maybe make up a little for yesterday, haha. I got on the elliptical feeling really tired and not sure what I was going to do, but I ended up doing a 20 minute elliptical workout, nursing break, and 5.5 miles on the treadmill.....go me!!! I always feel so much better when I get my work out in. I am so close to my goal of being in the 120's before August 1st and I reallllly want to get there. It seems like something always happens when I get in a good flow with working out and eating (this time, sick kids). Today I got a nice burn, 736 calories in 74 minutes....not too bad!

This morning I had such a nice do you go to sleep with a mess house and kitchen and wake up with a clean one, complete with a loaded and clean dishwasher??! You have a husband like mine! He has been getting home before we get up and cleaning up every day before showering and coming to bed, how wonderful is that?! So lucky to have such a great man. :-)

On another topic, I had these chairs in my portrait studio before I closed up and I loved them so much, when I closed I wanted to keep them for my house. Normally I would *never* buy anything upholstered for my family because well, our boys are messy, but since I already had them and loved them I brought them in the house. Of course they were stained immediately. When we moved here I just left them in the garage and assumed I would just list them on craigslist and try to find someone who wanted to re do them. I ran across a stain remover on Pinterest and thought that I would give it a try before getting rid of them. I'm so excited to say, IT WORKS! I only did it one time, sprayed it on, scrubbed it in (just a little) and let it sit. I sprayed way too much on I'm sure so I really forgot about them and it dried over night....not sure how long it took for the stains to disappear! There is just one spot that you can still barely see.....I think I will spray that spot again tonight and see if a second round removes it! Either way I am SO HAPPY.....way better than I anticipated!

You really can't even see the one spot unless you're looking for it. I think I am going to have to go around the house and look for more stained things, hahaha! 

I did not make this really scientifically. I really poured about 2/3 of the spray bottle full of peroxide and then finished it off with the soap. So 2 parts peroxide/1 part soap. 

Whew, it's actually 8am on Thursday and I'm just realizing I never actually published this! Bad me!

Homemade Taco Seasoning { healthy mom }

We love shredded chicken tacos in this house! One of my favorite things to put in the crock pot. I've been buying "low sodium"packs of taco seasoning, but I decided that I was going to start making my own.....yummier and much healthier than those packets.

Tonight we are having shredded chicken tacos on whole wheat tortillas. Probably my favorite meal! What are your favorite taco toppings?? I need a good recipe for some healthier guacamole or maybe some avocado?? Tonight we will probably do some salsa, shredded lettuce, and maybe some chopped onions. I love big chunks of onion on my tacos.....daddy and the boys don't though!

Here is the recipe:

Homemade Taco Seasoning
1 Tbsp chili powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp paprika
1.5 tsp ground cumin
1/2 to 1 tsp sea salt (more or less to taste)
1 tsp black pepper

I am obviously using this in the crock pot and the results are YUMMY. I use VERY little water, since it will be simmering all day in the juices from the chicken. 

My little muffins are watching cartoons this morning, Wild Kratts, their favorite show (and mommy likes it to, very educational!). This gives me time to put dinner in the crock pot. I am LOVING using the crock pot!! I never have time to cook in the afternoons. The babies are much fussier and more needy then and standing in front of the stove for an hour just doesn't happen. I love giving my family a healthy and yummy dinner with very little effort on my part ;-)

The elliptical is on the agenda for today! Definitely won't even attempt it until daddy is awake and can watch the kiddos....if only I had known the babies would have taken a good nap I could have already done it......but that's how it always goes!!

Zoo { half marathon training )

Our trip to the zoo today was a lot of fun! It was hot, but not nearly as hot as it has been and the boys had a blast....I think the fresh air did them some good. My iPhone has really made it easy for me to not pull out my "real" camera so today I was determined to at least get a few photos of the kiddos that were taken with something better than Instagram ;)

I was wondering before we left how many calories I would actually burn just walking around at the zoo with the kids. I knew I would be pushing the stroller some and possibly wearing a baby part of the time (it's so hot I worry about the babies getting over heated in carriers!) so I decided to wear my HRM and see what I came up with. Two hours of walking around, stopping to look at the animals, and taking 2 nursing pit stops 308 calories were burned per my Garmin. Pretty good I think....for a nice time out with the family! I need to do a bit more research but I'm thinking I probably burn about 50 calories an hour just doing going out and walking around with your family can definitely help you meet your goals! 

I've already said my kids have been sick and tonight my throat feels funny and I'm really worried I'm getting sick. UGH. I will not be happy if I get sick.....nothing worse than a cold to get you off track. Tomorrow I am suppose to run 4.5 miles per my half training plan. Since my 2 week goal (to finish out July) was to do 60 minutes of cardio 5-6 days a week I will do the elliptical as well to get up to 60 minutes. I'm guessing my run will take 45 minutes or less. For anyone who is curious, here is the half training plan I am following:

Starting on week 9 tomorrow! Not sure what I am going to do to maintain since my half isn't until November......hopefully I will be done with at least 1.5 months to spare!

Rest Day { Half Marathon Training }

Today is rest day. It is much needed. After the past few days of sickness mommy is tired! I'm so proud of myself for doing my long run yesterday and my legs and knees are feeling good this morning....I was kind of worried I would wake up with knee pain given I was so exhausted before my run! I iced my knees again last night before going to sleep and maybe that helped.

We are planning on taking the kids to the zoo today!! So long as everyone is feeling back to normal.....just some lingering cold symptoms yesterday so I think the boys will be 100% today and enjoy the fresh air!

The babies are watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse so mommy could clean up, firs they enjoyed playing with their new toy that Nana brought them. They can kick it and it plays music....they love it! I love my sweet babies.....sometimes I can't believe that God blessed US with two sweet babies. We prayed for one and got two, amazing!

Last night Josiah just wanted mommy and was snuggling with me so sweet. Asher is 100% daddy's boy and Noah has never really been a mommy or daddy's boy.....more both. Josiah I think might be my first mommy's boy <3

751 Burned { Running Blog }

I was tired when I started my run, exhausted when I finished, but happy I did it! I really wanted tomorrow to be my rest day so we could wake up and go to the zoo with the kids and then we have karate later in the day! If I run in the morning we don't get out of the house before 1pm. I am just too tired to run when I first wake up and by the time I am awake enough and run, shower, get ready, nurse the babies, get them ready, get the boys ready, etc it's already early afternoon.  My long run days are really important since I only run 3 days a week right now....I don't like missing. Last week I put off my runs a few times and I hate being off schedule! With 3 days of running its easy to skip a day if I'm really just too tired from being up a lot, but I like to try my very best to do it on the scheduled day!

So, tomorrow will be rest day! Of course we'll probably walk around the zoo at least 2-3 hours. We loooove the zoo! One of my favorite parts about living here is we can go again, in MO we were 2 hours from the zoo.....and I think our zoo here is way better!

So yesterday I didn't weigh at my usual time, sometimes it's hard because I don't weigh until after I nurse the babies (making milk for two babies can add some serious weight on the scale!) and if the babies are slow nursing I get hungry and go ahead and eat breakfast. so I went ahead and weighed today at my normal time and was 132.4!! That is 1.8 lower than yesterday!!! I am definitely going to hit my 12? goal before August 1st!!!!

It's a Starbucks kinda morning! { Fitness Mom Blog }

It is definitely a Starbucks morning....don't think it's possible to go out in the morning without making a Starbucks run :-) I was reallllly wanting my favorite, a yummy Caramel Macchiato this morning, but I was trying to be good with calories so instead I got the next best thing....a venti coffee with a pump of sugar free caramel syrup with fat free milk....yummy and the only calories (other than the maybe 5 in the coffee) are in the milk. I usually count it as 1/2 cup fat free milk....but I highly doubt they use that much! Yesterday while I ran into the grocery store Matt went to Krispy Kreme to get a dozen hot glazed doughnuts....we love Krispy Kreme. When we lived in MO there wasn't one for about 2 hours so it's been a long time since Matt got to enjoy one of his favorite treats. I had one last night and really wanted a second one (bad me) so I decided I would have one for breakfast.....hence my lower calorie Starbucks. (although my doughnut was actually less calories than my normal breakfast)

Daddy was home last night to help with the babies, which gave me a tiny bit of relief.....if only he could lactate and feed them himself :-) My sweet baby Noah was up coughing a lot so this morning I made a target run for some "Little Remedies Honey Elixer" for his cough, love the non medicated stuff....and some Children's Advil (which really seems to make the kids feel much better than Tylenol! Of course I had to bring him home a few little "sickie surprises", love Targets little dollar area at the front of store.

I have been using my crock pot every single day! I love that thing! With Matt's last shift we weren't able to use it since he left for work around noon and didn't get home til past bed time. Now we can use it and I've been taking advantage of it! I was thinking it seemed super I googled what the average size was for a family and got 6-7 quarts. I looked mine up (which was an old wedding present from nearly 8 years ago!) and it was only 3 quarts!!!! No wonder I've been cramming everything in! Today at Target I got a brand new one! Can't wait to use it today.....going to cook a whole chicken in it for the first time! The crock pot seriously makes healthy eating so easy! This is my brand new 7 quart crock pot compared to my old 3 quart! It helps its prettier too :)

Now to my workout goals or today, 6.5 mile run scheduled. We'll see how it works out. I am feeling OK tired wise from my sleep last night....but I'll have to see how the babies do with daddy....sometimes it's just hard getting away! Going to do my best to get it in!!

618 { Running Mom Blog }

Is how many calories I just burned on the elliptical! Still getting used to elliptical workouts (just got it on Wednesday) but today I decided to not worry about mph and just keep my heart rate up and crank up the incline and I put it on level 10. Got a great workout! I also wore weight gloves for 25 minutes and my shoulders were burning! Really wasn't super motivated today to work out after my lack of sleep last night.....but feeling good and happy I did it!

Our elliptical came with a heart rate monitor chest strap, but I didn't wear it....instead I wore my garmin one and it calculated 618 calories.

Well, that was rough! { Fitness Blog }

The night that is! My poor sick babies! All 4 aren't feeling well and my big boys were whimpering in their sleep and my twinkies were nursing non stop! Seems to be the only thing that is comforting them while they aren't feeling well! I usually nurse the babies one at a time at night, we nurse on demand, so I just nurse whoever wakes up. Last night they both kept waking up so much I had to sit up and tandem nurse them a much more tiring than rolling over and laying down while they nurse. They are being very needy this morning too....but maybe acting a little better! I am thinking we might try to get out of the house later and walk around the zoo to get some fresh air. Thank goodness it isn't going to be insanely hot today!

I am going to try to mentally prepare myself to dig deep and find the energy to do my 60 minutes of cardio. I really want to hit my goal of 129.9 before August 1st! We'll see how that goes! I usually feel better after my workout!

Now to share one of my favorite snacks, Luna Bars!! Someone told me about these a few months ago and I've been eating one almost every day since. I grabbed a blueberry one at Kroger (and I'm not a huge blueberry fan) and it was soooo yummy! My new favorite! (oh yeah, and I am an instagram addict!!)

I think I am going to set some goals to and post them in the sidebar!

Week 8 { Post Twin Weight Loss }

So today was my 8th week of postpartum butt kicking!! I was soooo happy when I looked down at the scale and saw 134.2. That is a 2.4lb loss from last week! All I can say is YIPPPEEEE. My goal of being in the 120's before August 1st just got really real! I can do it!!! I need to lose 2.1lbs the next 2 weeks and I'm there. Today I got my run soon as daddy was up I had the babies nursed and ready to hand them over so I could jump on the treadmill ASAP. I knew I could *maybe* do my run after our pediatrician appt....but you know how that goes....I figured we'd be there all day and then I wouldn't have time. So glad I did it before. I did my 4 miles in 38:52, which I'm pretty proud of. I was running at 5mph for weeks (4 miles in 48) so I am so happy with my progress....I have been working hard.

Feeling pretty good about my cardio routine for the next week or two....I plan to add in some weights soon....but closer to my goal. I'm not really 100% sure what my goal weight is....I'm thinking 118-119 or somewhere along those lines....once I get there I'll know.

Today was a good eating day too! My normal breakfast which is typically coffee with a 100 calorie english muffin with a tbs of natural peanut butter and some sugar free preserves. Lunch I had half a pita pizza (just pita, part skim mozz., and sauce) and a blueberry luna bar (which I have to say that is my new favorite and I don't even love blueberry!). For dinner I had put chicken in the crock pot so we had bbq chicken pitas. YUM. I love cooking in the crock pot....but I am always second guessing myself as far as the calories in the sauce. I was a little low on calories so I just made a pb&j on 45 calorie bread for a snack. Still trying to make sure I get enough for my twinkies to have enough milk ;-)

Daily Calorie Burn:

Elliptical: 22 minutes 218 calories
Treadmill: 4 miles/38:52 408 calories

Total of 636 exercise calories.

This may be my favorite quote.... { Fitness Motivational Blog }

Yep, I feel like quitting a lot! Some days, like today, the babies are fussy and the boys just can't seem to lose their wiggle worms and end up waking one or both of the babies as soon as I get started! I have to remind myself that a workout that wasn't finished all the way is better than no workout at all!

My goal for the rest of July is to be in the 120's before August 1st. Is it possible?! I think so. I was 136.6 last week....haven't weighed for this week....debating if I'm going to wait until tomorrow or not....I weigh on Saturday or Friday depending on my night with the babies. I'll post my progress for this week (I also take weekly pictures). With that goal in mind I have told myself I will do 1 hour of cardio at least 4 days a reality I would *love* to do 5-6 days a week....but I'm trying to cut myself some slack with my nightly nursing sessions with the twinkles! As soon as daddy wakes up I'll be rushing to get my 4 mile run in before we have to take the twinkles to their check up. I just got off the elliptical (did a quick 20 minutes....assuming my run will be at least 40 minutes) and I already feel's always getting up and starting that's the hardest when I'm tired....once I'm a few minutes in I always feel like doing more than I had planned!

It's finally Friday! { Fit Mom }

With my princess twinkie and A being sick I am so happy it's Friday. One more night to suffer through the stuffy noses alone. This morning A woke us up with SCREAMING.....we had no idea what had happened to him....we both jumped out of bed and ran to find him in the bathroom and a centipede near him.....he knows he can't touch those and I think it scared him to death! The twins were crying, N was crying, daddy and I were wide awake....not a good way to wake up! My sweet baby girl slept better than I thought she would (still not great for Ellie, good is waking up every 2 hours, lol)....this morning I am definitely feeling tired, but hoping I can find some energy to get my workouts in!

Today we are taking the twins for their 4 month check up (they are actually 4 months + 1 week) and I have a 4 mile run to do and I'm hoping to do another 20 minutes on the elliptical. My new goal is going to be to get 60 minutes of cardio at least 4 days a week. I was doing so well to do 60 minutes/6 days a week until we that I'm on my own most of the night I am just so exhausted some days I just can't do it! Not to mention I'm on a completely new schedule and I'm trying to get used to working out in the afternoons.

Here is some yummy baked blueberry cheesecake oatmeal I made today....taste good and good for you!


2 cups old-fasioned oats
1 1/2 tsp of baking powder
1 cup unsweetened almond milk (you could use water for less calories or half water/half almond milk)
1/2 cup egg substitue (egg beaters)
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/2 cup sugar (or stevia/truvia)
1 tsp vanilla
1 tbs cinnamon
1/2 cup frozen or fresh blueberries
2 tbs of fat free cream cheese

I made a smaller batch for the picture above, when I made the entire recipe I baked in a glass pie pan for 30 minutes at 350.

Long night ahead, I'm sure... { Runner Mom }

I vaguely remember the time when I looked forward to bed time, now bed time for me is a nightly nursing marathon. When I found out we were having twins I was scared I wouldn't be able to nurse them both and I am so thankful I am able....I need to remind myself of that when my sleep exhaustion kicks in! Laying next to my sweet princess twinkie who is sick with her first cold :( Breaks a mommies heart! Tomorrow is my easy run day, 4 miles scheduled, hoping I get enough sleep tonight so I don't feel like a total zombie today! I did great on food today as well....not 100% sure on calories.....I always second guess my estimates when I cook. I know I am under my 1800 or less goal....I'm going to add my MFP info so if anyone is interested they can add me!

A few weeks ago (almost 8) I decided it was time to go full force into weight loss/get my body back mode. I didn't gain too much weight with the twins (35lbs) but the sagging skin and left over pounds were making me feel less than great about my newfound postpartum body! I started my journey on May 19th at 152.6lbs and since have lost 16lbs! I am so proud of myself....any mom knows that eating clean/healthy AND finding the time to work out while being a mommy is tough! With having twins and my "big boys" (A-5 and R-3...almost 4!!) in the house 24/7 some days it is definitely a hard task to find the time to get in a workout.

I think this blog will give me a place to vent some frustrations and give me some more accountability. I also hope it can be an encouragement to other moms out there. It's's hard to make time for yourself (and when you do you probably feel guilty about it!) but it's worth it! Being a healthy role model for your kids is one of the most important things a mom can do, I think.

Here I am just 3 days out from my water breaking....hanging out at Chuck E Cheese with our big boys....having one last special day with them before the babies came.....little did we know my water was going to break the following Tuesday at 34 weeks 5 days. Sometimes I miss my big preggo belly! "After" pictures coming soon :-)
